Some History:

Casa Yallaha was built in 1880 as part of a plantation. The name Yallaha is a local Indian word for the oranges that were once grown here. The area surrounding the hostel is known as Presidential Corner, because the granddaughters of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson once lived in neighboring houses. It’s a great place to visit!  With beautifully updated Victorian style architecture, the hostel features spacious rooms that are clean and comfortable with multi-zoned air conditioning. (See pictures below) Best of all, the hostel has a state-of-the-art security and fire protection system. We are fully licensed and certified by the City of Saint Augustine and the State of Florida.
