A word about our beaches
People travel to Casa Yallaha from all over the world. Some may be concerned about the beaches in Florida; certainly the ecology of our West coast will face some serious challenges and clean up. It is unlikely but some of the oil from this disasters
Gulf spill may follow currents that effect some of our South Florida beaches. While this is extremely sad you should know that the flow of the Gulf Stream will keep St. Augustine's beach pristine - clean and oil free.
You will note the tire tracks in the sand in the picture of our beach below. The sand is so compact that you can drive a car or motorcycle on it! There is a actually small area set aside so you can enjoy the feeling of driving on this beach. It will be here waiting for you and it will be just as clean and pretty as the picture shows.

- Canon Firing at the Castillo de San Marcos - (downtown St. Augustine)
Come experience a little piece of history as the cannons are fired every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday throughout the year. Saturday and Sunday Indian re-enactors will present interpretations, displays and weapons demonstrations.
Kayaking and Dolphins
Marineland and the University of Florida's Whitney Lab along with Ripple Effect Ecotours will offer ecological kayak tours circumnavigating Jordon Island. Enjoy the panoramas of the Pellicer Creek, the Princess Place Preserve and Faver-Dykes State Park. A paddling clinic is offered at the beginning of each tour and no experience is needed. The cost is $50 per person, (ages six and older), which includes the tour, photos and admission into Marineland Dolphin Conservation Center. Call for reservations and more information.
